Traditionalist Conservatism vs Neo-Conservatism

Over the past months Mark Levin's book Liberty & Tyranny: A Conservative Manfifesto has been an absolute bestseller. In this book Mark Levin strongly puts forth a manifesto for what is known asTraditionalist Conservatism. Now since the election I have heard every Republican under the sun saying that our party needs to return to its conservative "roots". I have heard this from Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Michael Savage, Ann Coulter, Bobby Jindal, Newt Gingrich, Michael Steele, Mark Levin, Sarah Palin, and etc. They all claim that the Republican Party has left its conservative "roots", yet how can this be since we have had a Republican President for eight years and even a Republican Congress from 1994-2006? My friends we have been living under conservative rule, but it has been the policies of what is known as Neo-Conservatism. It is easy to fall under the belief that all "conservatives" believe the same thing, but nothing could be further from the truth. There are basically two streams of conservatism.

The battle that is going on is between: Traditionalist Conservatism and Neo-Conservatism. So what is the difference? Let me point out what each camp believes.

Neo-Conservatives on the issues:

1.) Their origins- Neo-Conservatism began in the 1970's and they were semi-conservative pro-government Democrats who left the Democratic Party because of its move toward extreme socialistic liberalism and they joined the Republican Party (and brought their semi-liberalism with them).

2.) Their foreign policy- Is to convert the world to democracy, even in places where democracy will never work because of the cultural barriers to democracy.

3.) Government- They support big government and have a low opinion of states' rights.

4.) Spending- They are big spenders on social programs and believe in deficits. Balancing the budget is not a priority.

5.) Welfare- They generally support it.

6.) Social issues- Generally give lip servive to conservative social issues, but rarely pursue them when in office.

7.) Economic issues- Very extreme in free trade and globalization. Supporters of big buisnesses.

8.) Immigration- Believe in open boreders and have done nothing to secure the borders and they support general amnesty.

9.) Education- The federal government must regulate it and support it.

10.) The Constitution- They never bother to ask whether the laws they vote for are constitutional or not.

11.) Judicial Activism- They have no plans to oppose unelected judges who make laws that violate the Constitution.

Faces of neo-conservitism: Both Bushes, Bill Kristol, Fred Barnes, the Weekly Standard, Walter Krauthammer, most of the Senate Republicans and especially John McCain and Lindsey Graham.

Traditionalist Conservatism on the issues:

1.) Their origins: Thomas Jefferson's Republicanism, Andrew Jackson's Popularism, Edmund Burke, Russell Kirk, John Locke, The Federalist Papers & The Anti-Federalist Papers, Barry Goldwater, and finally Ronald Reagan.

2.) Foreign policy- Use force to protect American intrests but it is not our job to always build and save nations and police the world in every particular circumstance. It is not the job of the United States to convert the world to democracy. It is our job to intervene when human rights are being completely trampled by evil tyrants.

3.) Government- Government is the problem not the solution. Cut government programs. Strongly protect states' rights.

4.) Spending- Strongly believe in cutting government programs and radically reducing spending. Balancing budgets should be a goal. Primary spending should be on the military.

5.) Welfare: Oppose it.

6.) Social issues: Takes social issues seriously. The root of most problems in the country are the result of immoral behavior. Welfare and social programs is simply the goverment bailing people out of the consequences of their actions. A virtuous and prudent people has little need for government.

7.) Economics- Tax cuts across the borad, but a watchful eye must be kept on Wall Street. Favors small buisnesses over big buisnesses because a big buisness can cause as much a problem as a big government can.

8.) Immigration- Supports securing the border and limited amnesty.

9.) Education- Is not the job of the federal government but is a state and local issue. Support vouchers or tax credits at most.

10.) The Constitution- They take seriously whether the Constitution prohibts a law or not. It is well understood that the Constitution mandates limited government.

11.) Judicial Activism- Activist federal judges including the U.S. Supreme Court must be reigned in and their power to create unconstitional laws from the bench must be fought. Judges should have term limits, or be subject to popular elections. The U.S. Congress should have the power to overturn outragous and unconstitutional rulings from the U.S. Supreme Court, thus the ultimate power must rest with the people and not unelected judges who are responsible to no one.

The most famous Tradtionalist Conservatives are President Ronald Reagan, most Southern Republicans, Michael Savage, Mark Levin, Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, and Sarah Palin.

Please read Mark Levin's book, in it he refers to moderate Republicans and neo-conservatives as "Neo-Statists" as opposed to the Democrats who are full blown "Statists". My friends we must support the traditionalist conservatives, because the neo-conservatives have been killing our party. We have not had a decent Republican President since President Reagan and we all know it. Bush senior led to Bill Clinton, Bob Dole was a dud and led to 4 more years of Clinton, and Bush junior (along with John Mccain) has led us to a radical Democratic Congress and BO (Barak Obama). It is time to reclaim our party. The Republican elites are all neo-conservatives and the base are mostly traditionalist conservatives, and we need to reclaim our party from the neo-conservatives. This is why it is so important to pay attention in selecting Republican state chairmanships and in selecting true traditional conservatives during the primaries: both on a local level and a national level. The last thing we need is another government growing neo-conservative. My friends throw the Republican neo-conservatives overboard and put traditional conservatives back in power and things will change for the better! Neo-Conservatism has been tried and has been an absolute disaster, now let's throw the S.O.B's out!

Chambliss stabs Palin in the back.

Senator Saxby Chambliss from Georgia had the following to say at the Augusta Museum of History for a chamber of commerce forum on health care reform:

"I don't agree with [Governor Palin] that there will be death panels created by any of the plans that are out there," said Chambliss.

There are two problems with what Chambliss did; first of all, Sarah Palin back in November saved his political as* by campaigning for him. In point of fact, Chambliss himself credited his victory to Sarah Palin. So this is how he repays the woman who saved his political as*! I should also note that Chambliss was guilty of being part of the Bush Republican congress that spent money and grew government like a drunken liberal. Ah, Caeden what are you saying? The point is that this is what you get from an inside the D.C. beltway big government Neo-Conservative. This is why folks it is of the upmost importance in the next GOP primaries in 2010 to nominate true Traditional Reagan Conservatives, and not Bush Neo-Cons who differ very little from many Democrats.

The second problem for the backstabbing Chambliss is that he is either ignorant of what Obama is proposing or what Sarah Palin actually wrote. What Sarah Palin was primarily writing about when she said “Death Panels” she was referring primarily the rationing of medical care by government bureaucrats in Washington, and those who have historically has suffered under a health care system which ration care to the elderly, the infirm, and the handicapped. Here is what Sarah Palin wrote in context:

“The Democrats promise that a government health care system will reduce the cost of health care, but as the economist Thomas Sowell has pointed out, government health care will not reduce the cost; it will simply refuse to pay the cost. And who will suffer the most when they ration care? The sick, the elderly, and the disabled, of course. The America I know and love is not one in which my parents or my baby with Down Syndrome will have to stand in front of Obama’s “death panel” so his bureaucrats can decide, based on a subjective judgment of their “level of productivity in society,” whether they are worthy of health care. Such a system is downright evil.”

Chambliss apart from any major as* kissing that you now owe Sarah Palin, I will encourage everyone I know to support your opponent in Georgia’s GOP primary when you are up for re-election, and if we cannot defeat you there we can give to your Democratic opponent so that he can unseat your traitorous as* you ungrateful jerk.

Obama & the death of the Democratic Party

Today on Glenn Beck's show Rush Limbaugh said that Obama "may" end destroying the Demoncratic Party, but unlike Rush I am more confident that Obama will destroy the Demoncratic Party, but you may be asking how so? I was one of the first to state that this guy simply is not that bright and that he was a well managed candidate who hid what he really believed. Dumbo was elected because of three things: 1.) Anger at the Bush administration, 2.) The promised tax cuts for those under $250,000, and 3.) The horrible way McCain ran his campaign. In 2012 none of these issues will help Obama. First, he can no longer blame Bush, and he’ll have to defend the most reckless spending in world history. Second, he is going to have to raise taxes and he’ll be on the defensive as to why he did not deliver the promised tax cut in 2008. Third, Lord willing Sarah Palin who knows how to run a viciously efficient and brutal grassroots campaign, will be more than able to take out Obama’s political machine.                 Obama’s radicalism simply is not selling in our nation because America is simply a center right nation. Who says so? Gallup did in a poll conduct last June, were it found that 40% of Americans defined themselves as “conservative”, 35% as moderates, and only 21% as liberal.  See here:

http://www.gallup.com/poll/120857/Conservatives-Single-Largest-Ideological-Group.aspx/

Rasmussen the other day had Obama at -14% on the presidential index. Obama is in serious trouble and unlike Bill Clinton who with Morris’ advice went to the political center after the Demoncrats were smashed in 1994, mainly as a result of an attempt to nationalize healthcare. The problem is that the Demoncratic Party has been hijacked by people that can be considered as ideological Marxists, they have moved far to the left of what was liberalism. My prediction is that the Demoncrats will be smashed in the 2010 election, probably in greater numbers than what transpired in 1994. After this massive defeat Obama will not abandon his radicalism, he simply lacks the political survival skills that Bill Clinton had, like I said he is not that smart and by now I really think this guy has a “god complex” and will continue listening to the media worship him long after the American people have developed a desire to see him gone. Folks when only 21% of the American people really agree with radical Marxism, and 75% do not Obama will no longer be able to portray himself as a centrist after what he has done. Also, a political party that has for the most part adopted a Marxist ideology cannot long survive in a center right nation. The Demoncratic Party will have to either move to the right or politically die.

Sarah Palin vs. Charles Krauthammer and Palin wins!

I was disgusted with a recent Townhall.com article by Charles Krauthammer and I have often been bewildered as to why they would even post his articles because he is hardly a conservative. He barely even qualifies as a left leaning “Rockefeller Republican”, and he has a long history of working for the left and against Traditional Conservatism as espoused by President Reagan. Melissa Clouthier rightly notes the following concerning Krauthammer:

"Although widely touted as a conservative, Krauthammer was a moderate Democrat who worked for the Carter Administration and as a speechwriter for Walter Mondale. Before gaining a reputation as a conservative columnist, he wrote for such hard right-wing media outlets as The New Republic, TIME magazine and the Washington Post. Some of his views on domestic issues are not those one would expect from a conservative. Krauthammer supports abortion, opposes the death penalty, rejects intelligent design, preaches evolution, favors embryonic stem cell research and advocates radically higher energy taxes as a conservation measure."

So what did Krauthammer write that seriously pissssed me off? Well, first this leftist moron actually had the lunacy to claim that there were no “death panels” concerning Obamacare and he also decided to take a swipe at Sarah Palin who popularized the notion of Obama’s death panels and who completely put both the Obama administration and the entire Democratic Party on the defensive by writing two articles on her face book page! Nevertheless Krauthammer wrote:

"Let's see if we can have a reasoned discussion about end-of life counseling. We might start by asking Sarah Palin to leave the room. I've got nothing against her. She's a remarkable political talent. But there are no "death panels" in the Democratic health care bills, and to say that there are is to debase the debate."

First of all, Sarah Palin was first and foremost referring to the rationing of care to those with special needs and the elderly, and for reasons of financial concerns these people will not receive care. Secondly, she also referred to end of life of counseling for the elderly with a government check for doctors who push this idea onto patients. Funny, if Krauthammer claims there were no death panels then why did the Senate act swiftly to remove this provision from their bill? Have a hard time answering that one Charlie? I thought you might.

Lastly, what needs to be pointed out is that Krauthammer knows that he has been outclassed by Sarah Palin. Krauthammer is a “professional” Washington “journalist” and guys like him should be framing the national debate on health care. However, Krauthammer’s influence has been zilch, zero, nada. It was Sarah Palin who with two facebook articles completely rope-a-doped the entire Democratic push for nationalized healthcare. Sarah Palin caused Senate Democrats to cut and run on their version of the bill and even caused Obama himself to explain to a town hall meeting that he is not going to “kill grandma”. Now when a president has to defend himself against wanting to kill off a part of the American population, he obviously has completely lost control of the debate and is wholly on the defensive. Thank you Sarah! Hey Charlie you could learn a lot from Sarah Palin if you would just let your pride and elitist Beltway arrogance get out of the way.
